John Brown commemoration

Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, off U.S. 340 in West Virginia, hosts "A Prelude to History: The Wedding of Virginia Kennedy, 1850" as part of the 150th anniversary commemoration of John Brown's raid. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Highlights include family and youth activities and the dramatic presentation, "My Conspirator," by Cynthia Goetz. There is a park entrance fee.
